To cancel a website project or Managed Website Care, email david@arkwebdesign.com with your name, website address, and the service you wish to cancel. Do not email full card numbers, security codes, passwords, Social Security numbers, or other unnecessary sensitive information. Ark Web Design, LLC will confirm the effective date and any next steps in writing.
Canceling monthly care
Managed Website Care is $79 USD per month and renews monthly on the billing date disclosed when you enroll. The standard plan is month-to-month with no minimum term unless a different arrangement is agreed to in writing. A customer may cancel future renewals by contacting Ark Web Design before the next renewal is processed. We confirm the effective cancellation date. We do not promise that a request submitted immediately before a scheduled charge can stop a renewal already being processed.
The current paid service period normally remains active through its paid-through date. Correctly billed current-period charges are normally not prorated simply because the customer stops using the service early. Duplicate charges, charges made after an effective cancellation, and service Ark Web Design cannot provide are handled under the Refund & Dispute Policy.
Moving your website
Managed Website Care hosting normally continues through the customer’s paid-through date after cancellation. The customer is responsible for arranging replacement hosting if they want the website to remain online. Ark Web Design will provide a reasonable opportunity to obtain or transfer customer-owned website files and data. Migration or new-hosting setup outside the included support scope may require a separately approved quote. Domain registration and separately purchased email services do not automatically cancel with the care plan.
Tell us before the service ends if you need a copy of your website or a transition arrangement. Hosting and backups are not indefinite storage. Any applicable retention or removal schedule will be communicated as part of the service transition.
Canceling a website project
If a customer cancels before work begins, the project deposit will be refunded except for specifically authorized nonrefundable third-party purchases. After work begins, the deposit is applied toward work already completed. Any refund or remaining balance must be based on the project stage, completed deliverables, approved scope, and written proposal. No undefined hourly formula is used. We do not charge more than the approved project price without customer approval. The exact cancellation terms will be disclosed before the customer pays the deposit.
If we end a service
Ark Web Design may suspend or terminate service for nonpayment, unlawful use, abuse of services, serious security risk, fraud concerns, or material violation of the agreement. When reasonably possible, we provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue. Immediate action may be taken when required for urgent security, legal, fraud, or abuse concerns. Any prepaid undelivered service is handled under the Refund & Dispute Policy. Applicable legal and payment-provider rights remain unaffected.
